I LIKE TORBIERE (2017–2020) was a municipal project developed under a three-year call by Fondazione Cariplo and Fondazione della Comunità Bresciana as part of the Emblematic Projects for the Province. Such projects create an important impact on the quality of life of the community and promote the cultural, social, and economic development of the area.

The project actively involved the community, bringing together 17 territorial entities (public and private), schools, citizens, and associations, with particular attention to young people.

The project had multiple objectives, both general and specific:

• Generating respect for the Reserve by introducing people to it with responsibility, belonging, and care;
• Generating constructive, active, collaborative, and long-lasting relationships with a meaningful impact on community life and promoting cultural and social development;
• Raising awareness and involving the younger generations;
• Raising awareness among the community about environmental protection.

To reach these goals, numerous activities were carried out, such as:

• Environmental education in schools, led by the CAUTO cooperative;
• Creation of themed brochures on the Reserve in collaboration with the Antonietti secondary school;
• Creation of the Reserve app;
• Development of the course to train official Reserve guides;
• Preparation of a microscope lab at the Visitors’ Centre;
• Development of the illustrated pocket guide on dragonflies in the Reserve.

It is important to mention that the project, which ended in 2020, generated long-lasting collaborations that continue today.
