Central Trail
The Torbiere del Sebino Nature Reserve announces that starting from July 18, following the conclusion of the usual closing period of the central trail to ensure bird nesting, the trail will only be partially accessible. To ensure maximum visitor safety, access will be limited exclusively to the section where transit is possible under fully safe conditions; the remaining portion will remain temporarily closed to transit.
This closure is necessary due to the state of conservation of the structure, which, having reached nearly thirty years of age, suffers from the degradation accumulated over time. The main structural issues concern the stability of the boardwalks and the erosion of the banks—caused by wave action, the activity of burrowing animal species, and weather events that over time have caused tall trees to fall during strong winds, resulting in damage to the root anchorage area.
Visitors are therefore invited to use the regularly open alternative routes (the North trail and the South trail, including access to the birdwatching tower, and the open section of the central trail).
We thank citizens and visitors for their understanding and valuable cooperation in protecting and safeguarding this extraordinary natural heritage.
